One day in a Hamam - Elementary

Cousin Dan
Last year my cousin Dan came to Turkey for a holiday. This was his first time in Turkey. When he arrived at the airport I welcomed him to Turkey, his first words were "where can I have a Turkish bath?". However, it was late at night so we went home.

The following day I took him to the famous Hamam in Cankaya. Dan and I organised to have a massage and skin rub in the Hamam. Dan didn't speak any Turkish and the Turkish man didn't speak any English. The Turkish man was very hairy and fat. He had one eyebrow and looked exactly the same as Recep Ivedik! Recep Bey gave us a towel to wear but the towel was very small!

We walked to the Gobek Tasi and laid down. The Turkish man wanted to show Dan that he was very strong so he gave Dan a very hard massage. While the man was giving Dan a massage, Dan was screaming in pain! This was very enjoyable for me. I was laughing a lot.

After the massage and skin rub Recep Bey wanted Dan to follow him to the sinks. He waved his hand and said "gel! gel!". Dan looked at Recep Bey's body language and understood "gel" means come. Dan followed Recep Bey. When Dan came to the sink, Recep Bey said "otur! otur!". But Dan didn't understand. Recep Bey waved his hand up and down and shouted "Otur!! Otur!!". Dan looked at Recep Bey's body language. Dan then looked at his towel around his waist. Dan understood "Otur" meant - "take off the towel!". Dan then took his towel off!!

Recep Bey immediately shouted "NO!! NO!!" and pushed Dan to sit down. Three other people on the Gobek Tasi saw this and were shocked. Two of the people were laughing very much. I couldn't stop laughing!

Did Dan enjoy the massage?
No!!

Did I enjoy the massage?
Yes!! it was hilarious!
